Sometimes the energy of a performance is not fully conveyed through audio alone. While Ronn has been a recording artist for many years, his preferred musical milieu is the stage. With Ayreheart, Ronn's original compostions come alive with the unique combination of ancient and modern instuments and the shared energy of performer and audience.  As a way of introducing visitors to this experience, we will be sharing videos and selected audience recordings on this page.

    "Up with the Sun" is an unreleased track from the group Ayreheart, which was founded by Grammy-nominated lutenist Ronn McFarlane. This song features Ronn McFarlane (lute), Elizabeth Hungerford (vocals), Mindy Rosenfeld (flute), Mattias Rucht (percussion), and Willard Morris (fretless bass). The video and sound were recorded live, following one of Ayreheart's first performances in March 2010.
